DescriptionND, (c 1865), in 2 volumes, vi-76-206 pages, 3 pages of publisher's advertisements, large octavo, 62 lithographic plates all superbly and decoratively handcoloured in very bright tones depicting the adult moths and many with earlier life-stages set against a background of flowers, grasses and other foodplants, some browning on the edges of the first few pages of volume one and occasional but unobtrusive foxing here and there, extra engraved title page in Volume 2, gilt edges, blue cloth boards with gilt images on the front covers of both volumes, spines relaid and skilfully repaired, overall a good set with the superior colouring only found in this scarcer edition, published by Paul Jerrard & Son.
